Game On! is a short story I’m serving up on Weekend Writing Warriors for #8Sunday. Heath is a semi-pro football player in town for the season. He meets Jordan, a teacher with obvious trust issues, who proposes a sexual game. In this week’s snippet, Jordan and Heath are having dessert after dinner.

“Would you be interested in coming out to one of our games?” Heath asked, although the sight of her licking her lips after a spoonful of a rich, creamy dessert turned his thoughts elsewhere.

“Sure,” she offered him some of her Tiramisu. “That’s an interesting expression,” she teased after he tasted.

“Mentally comparing.” He winked. “Back to the game.”

“The Triton’s or ours?” she asked, and pressed her pale frosted toes against his crotch.

“Was trying to figure out what sport you played.”

“Nice try, but I did the same to you. Once burned twice shy aren’t we, so now what?”

Heath cocked his head reading through her tough girl expression. Reaching out, he cupped her chin and leaned and touched his lips to hers. “We go to dinner.”

His tempting kiss drained all apprehension from Jordan. Afterward, shoving truck into gear, he reached across the console, took her hand and squeezed.
