Tell your friends and feel free to ask us questions in the comment box.’

1.      What made you start writing romance as opposed to any other genre of literature?

The movie that inspired me to write (Gladiator) was in essence a romance…in between head lopping. I’m an action movie fan by nature and love incorporating those elements into my stories.

2.      Why do you think romance continues to be a market leading genre?

Partly because I think more women than men read for pleasure and escape. They believe in love, and most romances give the reader a happily ever after…unless you’re reading a Nicolas Sparks novel.

3.      In what way do you see romance today reflecting the way women’s role in society has changed?

Heroines written in romances today are empowered like their real world counterparts holding influential roles in society ranging from the military, science and medicine to the corporate world, and athletics. It really makes for interesting and diversified characters.
