Game On! Fav Band #8Sunday

Game On! is my short story in process that I’m serving up on Weekend Writing Warriors for #8Sunday. A semi-pro football player meets a reserved teacher who intrigues him with an offer to play a sexual game. Heath quickly realizes he interested in more than a game with her.

Jordan cut the ignition and retrieved her cell phone from her bag, cursing her promptness. Heath’s truck was nowhere in the parking lot of the restaurant. Would he even show? He probably wondered which personality she’d be today after her freak show the other day. The few guys interested in her since Richard she hadn’t given a second thought, so why did this one affect her so?

A blaring rock tune roused her attention as a black Jeep pulled into the Black Rubiconspace next to her. Oh my God… her favorite band. She studied him as his mouth moved to the Shinedown song, and if she hadn’t known better, she might have thought he was chanting a mantra.

He jerked his head in surprise as he slid from his truck. “Hey, didn’t see you there.”

A semi-pro football player meets a reserved teacher who intrigues him with an offer to play a sexual game. Heath quickly realizes he interested in more than a game with her.

Since he’d arrived in Virginia, he hadn’t had time to even think about sex. All free time was spent practicing, learning the team’s playbook, and his way around the area. Today, she had derailed his studious determination.

It seemed like forever ago that he felt a true connection with a woman. His luck she had been burned and was twice shy. What asshole had screwed her over? The guy and his ex, Sandy, should get together and form a match made in hell.
