Game On! is a short story I’m serving up on Weekend Writing Warriors for #8Sunday. Heath is a semi-pro football player in town for the season when he meets Jordan, a teacher with obvious trust issues, who proposes a sexual game. In this week’s snippet, Jordan heads home after packing her classroom, done with the last day of school.
Jordan finished loading stuff from her classroom into her car and drove to her mom and dad’s, having giving up her apartment while still paying off lawyer’s fees.
“Let me help you,” her dad said stepping out the front door as she started unloading.
“I’ve got it, dad.”
His protective and giving nature demanded he help her until every box sat stacked in her room over the garage.
“Are you going out tonight?” he asked, aware of the usual schools out party her teacher friends held each year.
Having watched her be cross examined, exposing her whole life for the public’s eye was one of the most painful moments in her father’s life as well as hers.
“I’m meeting a friend for dinner,” she answered trying not to reveal her excitement at seeing the football god that lured her to be naughty.
Happiness filled his eyes. “Glad you’ve started to get out again, hon.”
Tune in new week for more. Now it time to check out other Weekend Writing Warriors‘ blogs.

The importance of family support is written so well in this eight. There’s not enough of this in fiction today and you’ve served up a delicious plate full here. Thank you.
