Newsworthy

I received my first fan letter last week! So of course, Icheer anxiously replied to Selina, only to have “demon mail” thwart my effort.

Thanks for writing, Selina! And for posting a review on White Doe. A verified purchase BTW and 5*s! Since my new BFF had a couple of questions and I couldn’t reply to her e-mail, I’ll answer in a post.

bigstockimage46781775Do I have other books?  Yes! I’m waiting for edits from Lyrical on my contemporary beach read, Hot as Blazes, and hoping for a spring or summer release in 2015. I’ve also completed a military romance on which they have first option. Currently, I’m finishing, Game On!, an erotic novella about a semi-pro football player and a emotionally scarred teacher. With the help of my critique group, I’m considering self-pubbing this one.

What about a newsletter? Nothing official yet, however, I’m actively blogging with the Weekend Writing Warriors crowd for Eight Sentence Sunday and on a blog hop with Romance Writers Weekly. Both offer a weekly glimpse into my current works or a dash of new flash fiction.

cocky confessions_tealI also host book a spotlight in the form of a hero interview entitled, Cocky Confessions. Delving into heroes’ secrets is eyeopening and sometimes they confess secrets not revealed in their books.

Then there’s Banx Bound, a series highlighting places to seebanxboundblog and things to do on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My home away from home inspires many of my stories and I love sharing about the historical and sometimes mysterious barrier islands. Not only is OBX the birthplace to aviation, the Outer Banks is home to the Lost Colony and notorious pirate, Black Beard.

So thanks for the review and the fan mail, Selina.  Hope other followers will keep in touch or drop me a line.

WhiteDoe_EbookCover_600X900It’s shifter season with Halloween coming, so if you haven’t checked out White Doe, hope you’ll give my erotic short a lick…ahh I meant like 😉

Banx Bound – First Colony #OBX

Banx Bound is a series I write about places and events happening on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, affectionately known at OBX by the six million annual visitors.

For those who may not know, the Outer Banks played an intricate part in U.S. history when the English established a temporary settlement…

The First Settlement

Roanoke Colony was the first English settlement on North America located on what is now known as Roanoke Island in Dare County, North Carolina.

Virginia Dare was the first born English colonist and for which Dare County is named. The colony was left to fend for itself after war broke out between England and Spain. When Governor, John White was allowed return with supplies, three years later, the settlers including his grandchild, Virginia Dare, had vanished.

The word Croatoan had been carved in one the fort posts and the buildings had been dismantled. It is speculated that the colonists moved to what is now Hatteras Island and integrated with friendly Native Americans. The The Lost Colony is reenacted as an outdoor drama at the Fort Raleigh National Historic Park in Manteo during May through August and will start its 77th season this year.

Like my second home, OBX is where my many of my books are set. The premise of my paranormal novella, White Doe, plays off a mysterious Native American legend about a white deer. For a sexy fall read check out White Doe on the e-book links at the top of this page. It’s currently free on All Romance.
