Newsworthy

I received my first fan letter last week! So of course, Icheer anxiously replied to Selina, only to have “demon mail” thwart my effort.

Thanks for writing, Selina! And for posting a review on White Doe. A verified purchase BTW and 5*s! Since my new BFF had a couple of questions and I couldn’t reply to her e-mail, I’ll answer in a post.

bigstockimage46781775Do I have other books?  Yes! I’m waiting for edits from Lyrical on my contemporary beach read, Hot as Blazes, and hoping for a spring or summer release in 2015. I’ve also completed a military romance on which they have first option. Currently, I’m finishing, Game On!, an erotic novella about a semi-pro football player and a emotionally scarred teacher. With the help of my critique group, I’m considering self-pubbing this one.

What about a newsletter? Nothing official yet, however, I’m actively blogging with the Weekend Writing Warriors crowd for Eight Sentence Sunday and on a blog hop with Romance Writers Weekly. Both offer a weekly glimpse into my current works or a dash of new flash fiction.

cocky confessions_tealI also host book a spotlight in the form of a hero interview entitled, Cocky Confessions. Delving into heroes’ secrets is eyeopening and sometimes they confess secrets not revealed in their books.

Then there’s Banx Bound, a series highlighting places to seebanxboundblog and things to do on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. My home away from home inspires many of my stories and I love sharing about the historical and sometimes mysterious barrier islands. Not only is OBX the birthplace to aviation, the Outer Banks is home to the Lost Colony and notorious pirate, Black Beard.

So thanks for the review and the fan mail, Selina.  Hope other followers will keep in touch or drop me a line.

WhiteDoe_EbookCover_600X900It’s shifter season with Halloween coming, so if you haven’t checked out White Doe, hope you’ll give my erotic short a lick…ahh I meant like 😉

Cocky Confessions: Devin McLoch of Fire’s Ice by Brynna Curry

cocky confessions_tealHi, I’m Brynna and I write steamy paranormal romance and romantic suspense. Today I’ve brought my favorite character, Devin McLoch with me from Fire’s Ice. Why is he my favorite? Could be his good looks. How many heroes have auburn hair nowadays? Or maybe it’scurry his shady past, Scottish burr, quick wit, and honor. But I have to admit pairing magic and swordsmanship is enough to make any lass swoon. And I think I’ll just let Dev take it from there.

Ah, you know me so well, Brynna. Nice to meet you, Dani.

Welcome both of you. Devin, let’s start off with who’s your love interest and how did you meet? Arianne Farrell. Our destinies became intertwined a thousand years ago when my cousin cursed us, but we didn’t meet face to face until the spell was broken in the present.

So you’re an immortal highlander, interesting. Tell us something no one would believe about you? I am terrified frogs. They freak me out. Really.

They are kinda slimy. What’s the one thing you’d never tell your lover? I tell Ari everything and if I didn’t, she’d know in any case. Such as the frog thing. When she’s mad, she threatens to turn me in to one.

Yikes. I’ll assume that’s not a turn on. What does she do to get you going? Say the word bubbles. Read the book and you’ll understand.

I love when couples have special words that only mean something to them. Have you ever done anything that could have landed you in prison? I’ve stolen the Regent Diamond from the Louvre. It’s not the only gem I’ve borrowed. I did return them though. No one knew they were missing…unless I wanted them to. I needed their power to see Ari.

More special powers…where were you when you lost your virginity? My bedchamber in the original Glen McLoch. I won’t say who, because Ari might take offense and then we’d be back to the frog thing.

LOL! Who’s your best buddy? What do you guys do when bromancing? I’m close to all my kin, but actually, my best buddy isn’t a guy. I’m closest to Rhiannon, Skye Corrigan’s wife. (And not like that kind of close) She reminds me of my little sister Meary. I have to be very careful when I’m in the same room with her and Skye though. He’s an empath and tends to project strong emotions…visually. Once my mental block wasn’t quite as strong as it should have been. That was awkward to say the least.

Too much information, huh?   There a specific body type, hair, or eye color that attracts you? Does Arianne meet the criteria? Curvy, long dark curly hair…Ari. Oh, yes. She is my match in every way.

How do you stay fit? Swordplay. I keep the training regimen I began as a child in Scotland. Although my training room is much nicer now.

Name your most comfy article of clothing? The invisible kind.

Good answer! A favorite piece of clothing to remove from your lover? All, any. I vanish them.

Not sure I’d want my lover to have that power. *winks* What’s the hottest thing Ari has ever said to you? Bubbles. Don’t laugh. I asked her what she was wearing…yeah.

LOL…sorry. What does she do that drives you crazy? She always puts herself at risk for the good of others. It’s noble, but maddening.

Do you have a hobby? I love to read.

What’s your method of travel, motor vehicle, motorcycle, horse, etc. And is that vehicle per say special to you. I have a motorcycle and a minivan because of the triplets. I’m not obsessed with either. I prefer to flash (teleport) where I want to go, but its not always the best way.

Oh to have the “beam me up Scotty” ability. Name a favorite place you’d like to travel. Home. I’ve seen most of the world, now I just want home. And that’s what I’ve found in my Ari.

Aww…that’s sweet. Do you have a secret no one knows? Only one man has ever bested me with sword and sorcery and he’s about to become a permanent thorn in my side.

Ahh and so the story begins.  Thanks for inviting us to visit, Dani.

Thanks for the candid interview, Devin and best of luck with the book, Brynna.

Excerpt from Fire’s Ice: Elemental Magic Book Five

The sound of splashing water rippled past his ears. Temptress.

Knowing Ari was just on the other side of the door, naked and wet, willing to succumb to every fantasy he could imagine, was a torment in itself. All he had to do was accept her sultry invitation and toss aside his plan. But she deserved a sweet slide into love, not the wild, mad rush of pleasure he craved. One palm rested on the door of its own volition, ready to comply. Not yet. Now, if only his traitorous body would listen to his heart. “That depends, sweetheart.”

“Oh?” she called out from the other side. “On what?”

Devin chuckled at the line, but he just couldn’t resist teasing her. “What are you wearing?”

She laughed. “Bubbles. Lots of bubbles. Share them with me.”

He saw it so clearly. Ari’s creamy skin peeking through the frothy bubbles. Open, welcoming. Need clawed under the skin, screamed at him. Why the hell not? Feeling a quiver of desire vibrate through his body, he called her bluff. “And what would you have me do with those bubbles? Hmm, Ari?”

“Oh, I am sure you could think of something. Something deliciously wicked. I have shared your dreams. I know your fantasies, Devin.”

Oh, you have no idea. His mind made up, Devin opened the door.

She lay in his huge garden tub, feet propped up on the rim, eyes closed, waterfall of black hair piled on top of her head. A soft smile graced her face. So she was enjoying their teasing banter. “Have you changed your mind and decided to join me?”

“Maybe.” No reason he couldn’t push them both to the edge. Pulling the t-shirt over his head, Devin tossed it into the corner. He laid his cellphone on the sink–out of danger–kneeled by the edge of the tub and dipped one hand into cooling water, using his magic to heat it.

“Mmm. Nice.”

He let his voice drop to a whisper as he leaned close to her ear. “I want to slick my hands over every inch of your skin until you shiver from the heat.” His fingers found the back of her knee in the water and trailed higher along the inside of her thigh. “And then…”

A soft “Devin” slipped from her lips as Arianne’s eyes flew open. “And then…”

About the Author: Brynna Curry was born south of the Mason-Dixon Line.
